It's not just the food on your plate that's artistically crafted at the Gleanery. It the plates itself, the tables, the mug you sip your coffee from. Including stained glass walll hangings, hand turned wooden bowls, carved porcelain vases, the softly lit jar wall, and a rotating display of paintings, the space is filling with work by  over 20 artisans. Much of the work that you'll discover here is for sale; other pieces may lead you to a local gallery to meet the artist.

Maggie Lake

After eight years of courageously battling cancer, artist Maggie Lake passed away on January 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Her life and artwork touched people around the world. For 30 years, Maggie's love and knowledge of plants led her on gathering expeditions throughout Vermont's forests and gardens, and to places as far away as the alpine tundra of Alaska. With these plant specimens she created her one-of-a-kind botanicals.

Prints of her work are througout the restaurant.
